Internal Nature:
Reptiles recieve their oxygen by breathing throught their mouth into their lungs. Reptiles are heterotrophic and hunt to get their food. They are sexual and lay eggs to reproduce young. They also have a brain, nervous, and circulatory system with heart.

The pointy ridges along this reptile`s body are just enlarged scales.

External Structure:
Reptiles have rough scaly skin. Some have hard shells to protect themsleves from predators. All reptiles have sharp claws on toes and a tail.

Other Information:
Reptiles lay their leathery-covered eggs on land and let their young find their way to the water.
They have been around for 3.5 billion years and the earliest have been found to be Dinosaurs.
They belong to the Animal Phyla called Chordata.
They are cold blooded, so they need to get their body heat from an outside source. All reptiles either eat meat or plants such as fish and water dwelling plants.
Reptiles live in dry areas and sometimes watery-like environments.
Almost All reptiles have bilateral symmetry.
This snake swallows the egg whole then spits out the shell after it eats the embryo
